Fisher Architecture was hired to provide full architectural and interior design services for this eight-story, one hundred eleven unit hotel, located in Ocean City, MD. The original building was demolished to create a new hotel complete with boardwalk retail. The spacious guest-rooms all have balconies with an ocean view or bay view. There are indoor and outdoor swimming pools, oversized fitness center, 1,500 square feet of meeting space, and a coffee to cocktails bar with a veranda that overlooks the Atlantic Ocean.
The design of the building requires that its shadows not cast larger than a five story structure. The team provided a feasibility study very early on that resulted in the owners obtaining more density than originally anticipated. Fisher Architecture understood the zoning code at a high level, finding ways to increase the project density.
