Fisher Architecture was hired to aid in the demolition and revival of a new iconic landmark Ocean City, MD hotel. The team was able to take advantage of existing grading to accommodate fifty-seven units, a basement, indoor pool, rooftop pool & bar and boardwalk retail spaces. Fisher Architecture worked together with the Planning and Zoning department, the Downtown Association and town officials in an effort to make the hotel comply with the historic nature of Ocean City’s downtown boardwalk. The team also helped the owner for over the course of two years to develop a safe plan to demolish the structure without affecting the integrity of the existing, attached hotel. The owners and Fisher Architecture were awarded the 2017 New Construction Award by the Ocean City Development Corporation when completed.
