Fisher Architecture was hired to design this multi-use commercial shopping center that is located in Ocean City, Maryland. The building includes both retail and restaurant space and twelve thousand square feet in an additional building for professional office space. Having to design a shopping center to capture the attention of travelers on Rt. 50 was a distinct challenge for Fisher Architecture when your road frontage is one hundred and fifty feet. Fisher Architecture was then hired to complete the tenant fit-out of the owner’s store, Park Place Jewelers. The development of this project initiated the Worcester County Design Guidelines Task Force to set forth extensive guidelines in addition to standard building code and identify ways to enhance architecture and design without heavily impacting the developer’s budget. Based on the Fisher Architecture’s design, the County Commissioner requested that Keith Fisher be brought on to the design task force committee.
