The Village at McKee Branch
Fisher Architecture provided full architectural services for the renovation of Village at Mckee Branch located in Dover, Delaware. This project consisted of thirteen buildings with seventy-one townhouse units, to be converted into sixty- six garden style apartments throughout twelve buildings. Additionally, the firm added a community center building with a leasing office, a business center, a community room with a kitchen and laundry facilities, and a playground. The new development provided convenient access to walking paths and parking. Each building was stripped down to its foundation and additional concrete masonry units were added to raise the new floor height. The garden flats and two-story townhomes range from two to three bedroom designs.
“If it weren’t for Fisher Architecture’s staying power and dedication this project would not be in the construction phase today. After more than a half dozen reiterations, Keith’s expertise and guidance was the determining factor for whether or not the physical structures would support the ideas and overall objectives of the community. He was the first person I called to ask if what we had down on paper was physically possible for someone to build and now someone is doing just that.” Tom Ayd, Green Street Housing
