Fisher Architecture has provided full architectural services for a new ninety by sixty foot Aircraft Rescue and Fireighting Station building at the Salisbury-Ocean City: Wicomico Regional Airport located in Salisbury, Maryland.
The building will include three bays to accommodate two large firefighting apparatus units and a third bay for the EMT/RIV units. The building will also house the employees stationed at this facility. The employee section will include a public gathering area, offices, kitchen/break room, unisex showers and restrooms, recreation/bunk room, and drug locker for EMT use.
The Fisher team worked alongside Delta Consultants, Wicomico County and project engineers in order to meet the code requirements of the Federal Aviation Administration, relevant sections of the U.S. Department of Transportation Advisory Circular, and security standards as well as keeping the project on schedule.
