The HALO homeless shelter in Salisbury is getting ready to expand, and a local business is helping out. HALO leaders tell 47 ABC the expansion will provide guests with new services to make them feel a little more at home. “Having the laundry facility – man, this is going to be so great for the guys, and the ladies, you know. It’s just something that’s not out there,” said Celeste Savage, executive director of HALO homeless shelter.

To Our Valued Community,

Fisher Architecture has been paying very close attention to the current situation and the daily updates that have consumed all of us regarding COVID-19. We are very committed to the health, safety and overall well-being of our team, clients, consultants and contractors.

With that said, we have closed our physical office per the Governor’s direction and will remain this way until the order is given that all is clear. In preparation, late last week we sent our team home with resources to be able to continue to work and meet our clients’ expectations. In fact, our technology has permitted our team to be able to open this week with a seamless transition. We are continually communicating with each other and our consultants to ensure that the quality of our deliverables is not reduced regardless of how it is produced.

To our current clients, we are continuing on and will meet the commitments we promised. To our contracting community, we are able to be reached for any questions, concerns or other needs to keep the projects on track. We will continue to keep our clients informed and updated regarding the status of projects.

Fisher Architecture wants all to know that we are thinking of our medical community and our first responders in this great time of need. We are incredibly blessed to be part of a community being served by such dedicated individuals. Thank you!

In closing, please remember that we are here to help you through this trying time, and we appreciate your continued support.

With elevations at sea level and open fields stretching from small towns to shoreline, the Delmarva Peninsula is defined by its paced population and rural environment.

Elements like these keep much of the region laid-back, quiet and unimpeded.

For one rising industry, that could prove a powerful asset.

Set to break ground this fall, the Salisbury-Ocean City Wicomico Regional Airport is bringing a Drone Center for Innovation to its campus. With potential for a foothold in the growing industry of unmanned vehicles, the excitement is palpable.

Keith Fisher had the opportunity to meet with TAD (Thinking and Doing) students at Westside Intermediate and Fruitland Intermediate schools. He was able to help the students understand what an Architect does in their profession. The students are studying Architecture and were tasked with proposing a plan and designing structures and then presented. Keith Fisher was happy to help out by evaluating their work and presentations. “Like in years past, I was very impressed with all the students. They had some great ideas and really put forth a lot of effort. I always look forward to volunteering my time with the TAD students,” said Fisher.
