The Views Make the Design

Construction has started on a newly designed 4,000 square foot, private residence in Ocean City, Maryland. With views of the Assawoman Bay, the home was designed with four bedrooms, four full baths, two half baths, a lanai, pool, and deck. Fisher Architecture coordinated with Ocean City’s Engineering Department to address placement of the building due to critical area setbacks and pervious construction requirements. Due to the building footprint exceeding 5,000 square feet of impervious surfaces, the team worked with their civil engineer to develop solutions for proper stormwater management. Fisher also coordinated with their structural engineer to develop a foundation appropriate for the location, elevated above the base flood elevation and freeboard heights established by FEMA.

Given the location of the home, the waterfront views are one of the most critical elements of the design. We focused on the placement and angle of every room to assure nearly every space was designed to maximize the view corridors throughout the home

We have a great working relationship with the owner from the previous commercial projects we have done for him throughout Ocean City. We are thrilled that he trusted our team to assist him with his personal residence and look forward to the home’s completion in 2021
