Fisher Architecture was hired to provide full design services to transform a Bugaboo Steak House into a Laser Surgery Center in Philadelphia, PA. The building was gutted and redeveloped into a medical office building. The interior space plan includes two (Class A) Operating Rooms for a fully functioning surgery center. Included in the plans are four prep bays and four post-operative bays, men and women’s locker rooms, and individual staff bathrooms equipped with showers. An additional (Class C) Procedure Room for conducting laser surgery is located adjacent to an already thriving retina eye clinic. Fisher’s team worked cohesively with the client to ensure the design would fit their programs while meeting several specific requirements for the use of medical gas as well as accommodate optical equipment.
